Announcing the first Executive Director
On behalf of the New York Passive House Board of Directors, it is a great pleasure to announce that Andreas Benzing has been appointed the organization’s first Executive Director. In order to accept his new position, Andreas stepped down as President of New York Passive House as of September 16th.
For the past ten years, Andreas has provided leadership to New York Passive House and was among the organization’s founding board members. After serving as the founding Vice President, Andreas assumed the position of President in 2016. Andreas embodies the values that drive New York Passive House and is deeply committed to New York Passive House’s mission. With an excellent understanding of Local and State legislation and the Passive House industry, Andreas has represented the organization on public panels, community events and before governmental agencies.
In his new role as Executive Director, Andreas will work directly with our committed Board of Directors, volunteers, members, community partners and all stakeholders to continue to amplify the adoption of the Passive House standard and improve the professional training and education to expand the adoption of the Passive House concept.
Please join me in welcoming Andreas to his new role as our first Executive Director. The Board of Directors is deeply committed to working with Andreas to ensure his successful and visionary leadership as New York Passive House enters its next phase of expansion.
With warm regards,
Stas Zakrzewski
