From Small to Extra-Large – New York Passive House 2018

New York Passive House is collaborating with Low Carbon Productions on an updated and expanded book featuring completed and in-progress Passive House buildings in our tri-state area. While the 2015 book was an excellent compendium of the Passive House projects completed to that date, since then the New York region has seen phenomenal growth in Passive House activity. NYPH will use this book to further build demand for Passive House projects and Passive House-friendly policies in our region. The book will be available in hard copy and digital formats.

Our Goal From Small to Extra-Large: New York Passive House 2018 will showcase the range of Passive House projects in the New York region, demonstrating that comfortable, healthy, and efficient buildings come in a variety of sizes and building types. This book will enable us all to promote and market this leading-edge building methodology. All participants will be given copies of the book to use for your own sales and marketing process.

Cost to participate is structured according to the number of pages you and your projects are featured in. Proceeds are used for editing, layout, and printing.

1 page $400 case study about a single project with photos/images and Team, Metrics, and Product lists, but no text
2 pages $500 classic Beacon case study includes photos/images and Team, Metrics, and Product lists—and a project write-up
4 pages $800 a longer article about a single project OR 2 classic Beacons
6 pages $1,200 up to 3 projects OR a profile of your business plus 2 Beacons
8 pages $1,600 up to 4 projects OR a professional profile plus 3 Beacons

You decide your level of participation. Low Carbon Productions will interview you to generate the copy for your pages or you can supply your own descriptions.

Share your expenses by inviting other members of your project team to participate in this effort.  Up to five team participants may be listed with each project with a link to their website included in the digital book version.

Deadline for submittals is February 26th in order to have this ready to distribute in June at the New York Passive House annual symposium.  The book will also be distributed at a variety of training and educational events throughout the year.
