Sustainability in NYC Buildings

Join Avenue 8 agent and Executive Director of Earth Day Initiative, John Oppermann, for a conversation on the sustainable future of buildings in NYC with New York Passive House Executive Director, Andreas Benzing, and NYC Climate Action Alliance Executive Director, Stephanie Margolis.  The discussion will cover the latest trends in sustainability and wellness in NYC real estate, NYC’s ambitious energy efficiency and climate action regulation and what buildings will need to do to get up to speed, and how we can better market sustainable and healthy properties to the broader public.  The conversation will include range from Passive House design and Local Law 97 to trends in what homebuyers want in the sustainable and healthy real estate sector.  A particular focus will be brought to real estate brokers’ role in communicating and marketing sustainable and healthy buildings.  Refreshments will be served.
