It was an absolute pleasure to join the exclusive tour of The Heritage on Madison Avenue in collaboration with New York Passive House. Adler Windows was thrilled to see such an enthusiastic gathering of amazing people, all passionate about sustainable building practices and our installation…

The Heritage, originally erected in 1975 under the Mitchell-Lama program, is undergoing a remarkable transformation into a carbon-neutral space. We showcased the groundbreaking use of Dextall unitized prefab walls alongside a myriad of other building upgrades (INTUS Windows , Adler Windows), illustrating how even fully occupied buildings can embrace sustainability with the right approach.

The event was tailored for architects, envelope consultants, and sustainability-minded stakeholders, offering invaluable insights into cutting-edge solutions for sustainable building design. Here are some key takeaways from the day:

  • We delved into the challenges and strategies involved in large-scale renovations with tenants in place, emphasizing the importance of effective project management and minimal disruption.
  • Attendees had the opportunity to explore the innovative use of unitized prefab walls and their pivotal role in creating a sustainable and efficient building envelope.
  • We discussed the multitude of benefits associated with sustainable renovation, including improved energy efficiency, reduced carbon footprint, and enhanced occupant comfort.
  • Lastly, participants left feeling inspired and armed with ideas for incorporating sustainable design principles into future renovation projects, navigating the unique constraints and opportunities of existing structures.

A huge thank you to everyone who joined us for this insightful journey toward a greener, more sustainable future. Let’s continue to push the boundaries of possibility and pave the way for transformative change in the built environment.
