As energy efficiency and health in buildings simultaneously advance, codes are evolving to meet these two goals. And the COVID-19 epidemic has driven these two factors to the fore in discussions across North America and the world. This session with explore evolving codes and standards, and also look at the response to the pandemic with regards to ventilation.

Learning Objectives:

  • Understand the connection between ASHRAE 62.1 and codes in North America.
  • Understanding of where codes are going for the US and Canada with regards to ventilation.
  • Insights in to the challenges of responding to the COVID-19 pandemic and making buildings healthier, and the important role that ventilation will play.
  • Insights in to how energy efficiency and better ventilation can coincide
