Passive House Design and Dextall Prefabricated Walls: A Sustainable Solution

Summary:

This sales presentation will focus on Dextall’s prefabricated wall systems and their ability to achieve the 5 Passive House Principles in mid- and high-rise buildings. We will also compare Dextall’s wall systems to traditional wall construction methods and highlight the significant reduction in embodied carbon that can be achieved.

James McGorty is a Senior Business Development Executive at Dextall responsible for developing the NYC Metro market by promoting their prefabricated wall systems to key stakeholders in the commercial building industry.

James has over 25 years of experience working in the architectural product manufacturing and supply chain with a focus on sustainable building and Passive House.

Over the past decade James has worked on many noteworthy passive house buildings in NYC including: HANAC Corona, Sendero Verde, Park Avenue Green, Chestnut Commons, and Beach Green Dunes II.

In 1996, James received a Bachelor of Science degree in Architectural Technology from the New York Institute of Technology (NYIT) in Old Westbury, NY. In 2010 he achieved a Certified Sustainable Building Advisor distinction from NYIT’s Manhattan Campus, and in 2017 received a Certified Passive House Tradesperson certification from the Association for Energy Affordability in Bronx, NY.

Head of Product- Dextall Studio at Dextall,

She has a background in architecture and product design. She holds a summa cum laude master’s degree in architecture from the New York Institute of Technology (NYIT), a prestigious institution renowned for its excellence in architectural education.

In recognition of her outstanding achievements and potential, Aleksandra was named to Metropolis magazine’s Future100 list, which celebrates the top 50 interior design and 50 architecture students graduating in North America.

Aleksandra is also an active researcher, having conducted a Virtual Reality study on the impact of interior characteristics on human emotional responses. This research was a part of her design thesis and was conducted in collaboration with Dr. Randy Stout, Director of the Center for Biomedical Innovation.

In addition to her work in architecture and research, Aleksandra has expanded her practice to include product design and digital marketing. She is passionate about helping organizations analyze customer behavior and strategize their product development to create successful and meaningful products that connect with consumers. With her multifaceted expertise and innovative mindset, Aleksandra is set to contribute significant contributions to the fields of architecture, design, and business.
