The Mediterranean climates are comparable with many regions of California and for this reason we included the older presentation. Dr. Wolfgang Feist, Director of the International Passive House Institute, speaks in design strategies for Passive House buildings in Mediterranean climates. This video-lecture was recorded for the “Passiexpo” in Greece in December 2014. Passive Houses get less and less expensive – this standard can be build everywhere, and the definition is functional (performance) based. Of course, the regional solutions are different depending on climate and on building tradition. It’s a chance for regional and local architectural styles. The key to make it happen is the PHPP – the planning tool, which allows for optimal design in each climate.
