WITH GRATITUDE

New York Passive House began in 2010 as an idea held by a few people who believed our city's buildings could be healthier, quieter and far more efficient. There was no guarantee it would take hold. It did, because volunteers gave their time, their expertise and their belief in something larger than any one project.

Every person on this page served on our Board of Directors without pay. They gave evenings and weekends to governance, budgets, events, education and advocacy. They opened doors, made introductions and said yes when the work was hard. They carried this organization through its early days, through growth, and through change.

Because of them, a community of designers, builders, engineers, owners, students and neighbors now has a place to learn from one another and push the industry forward. Every building we help make more comfortable and more resilient carries a little of their effort.

To each of you: thank you. NYPH is stronger, wiser and braver because you led it. Your work is part of our foundation, and we are proud to build on it.
