Last year New York City passed Local Laws 31 and 32which were aimed at strengthening existing sustainability requirements and introducing new measures to make NYC-owned buildings among the most efficient in the country. According to the new laws, most new buildings and retrofits much achieve LEED Gold status. Local Law 31 specifically requires newer municipal buildings to use 50% less energy than the older buildings of that type in New York.
To help the public reach this goal Urban Green Council and AIA will offer training, starting in the summer and going through fall.
The two-day workshops are limited to 25 participants and open to all architects, designers, engineers, and construction trade professionals. Register NOW
