- Richard Gerbe co-founded HIGHMARK in 2013 and has been the company’s Chief Executive Officer since its inception. Richard brings over two decades of industry experience and has proven himself as a visionary and seasoned authority as an HVAC professional. His robust expertise in envisioning the best and most innovative products, technologies and processes, have contributed to building efficiency throughout the region and beyond. Richard is committed to imparting a new mentality centered on greater efficiency within the built environment and embodies HIGHMARK’s core principle of “challenging the status quo.”
Prior to co-founding HIGHMARK, Richard worked as both a consulting and sales engineer at Trane for nearly 10 years. Additionally, he held several other senior positions at leading engineering and consulting companies in the HVAC industry. Richard was named as an ENR New York Top Young Professional in 2017 and a 40-Under-40 Consulting-Specifying Engineer award winner in 2016.
Richard received his Bachelor of Science degree in Mechanical Engineering from the New York Institute of Technology.
