Kingspan Group – Protecting Munch’s Masterpieces

To safeguard the priceless art collection of renowned Norwegian painter Edvard Munch, including his iconic 1893 work The Scream, insulated panels were chosen to protect against harsh weather.

“We opted for panel systems instead of traditional wooden structures, as the building was exposed to the elements until we reached the 60-metre height,” explained Stefan Abrahamsson, Project Manager at SGS, responsible for the external envelope.
