A Planner/Urban Designer II at MA is fully competent in conventional aspects of urban design, site planning, and public realm design tasks. They provide technical assistance on zoning, environmental concerns, and other planning-related topics with confidence and independence. This role involves attending governmental or community design oversight meetings as needed.
The Planner/Urban Designer II contributes to project creative design efforts in the early stages of development, assisting the Director of Planning in preparing initial zoning, programming, and feasibility presentations and reports. Their responsibilities span various aspects of the planning process, ensuring well-rounded development of design and technical solutions.
