Growing Architectural/Passive House/Sustainability Consulting Design firm is seeking passionate, self-motivated candidates for an Architect or Engineer Energy Modeler.  Candidates with 3-7 years of experience will be considered for the position.

Flexible Remote / In Office Schedule.  Progressive Office Environment.

 

We seek energetic candidates with strong organizational, sustainable design, research and problem-solving skills.  The ideal candidate will have a thorough, conscientious work approach and strong communication skills.  The candidate must have the ability and willingness to work collaboratively.   Knowledge of materials and craft are required.

The firm’s practice is located the Lower East Side, NYC. We specialize in affordable housing, cultural facilities, multi-family residential, and adaptive re-use in the 5 boroughs and the Northeast.

PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES/SKILLS:

  • Energy Modeling/Analysis.
  • Passive House PHPP / Thermal Bridge Analysis
  • Communicate Energy Modeling Data and Analysis, Preparation of Reports
  • Client Management
  • Analysis of Client Portfolio
  • NYC Benchmarking
  • NYC LL 97 Compliance
  • Submission of NYSERDA Grants and Applications
  • Energy Code Compliance / Com Check
  • Enterprise Green Communities Compliance
  • Collaboration with project team on most energy and cost-efficient solutions
  • Establish Resiliency and Sustainable Design Parameters
  • Candidate will also participate in design and production of Construction Document
  • Material and Product Recommendations
  • Construction administration

 

Knowledge of Revit, AutoCad, MS Excell, Illustrator, In-Design, Photoshop

Experience with sustainable design certifications (Passive House, Enterprise, Living Building Challenge, Embodied Carbon Modeling, LEED etc) is a plus;
