HIGHMARK Building Efficiency is proud to be a solution provider for the Alafia development’s domestic hot water systems. The two wastewater energy recovery systems by SHARC Energy are the first of their kind in both New York City and the Northeast United States. The Piranha system is a packaged heat pump solution, and the SHARC system enables wastewater energy transfer to Colmac heat pumps. Implementing this technology was made possible by collaboration across multiple engineering disciplines, as well as the entire project team.
