Artwork Competition: NYPH Regenerative Metropolis 2025

Visualizing a Foundation for a Thriving Future

New York Passive House invites artists, students and anyone interested to participate in the Regenerative Metropolis symposium’s artwork competition. This year, we encourage submissions to explore and visualize regenerative architecture, which has yet to be truly defined, emphasizing the integration of architecture into systems that support a thriving and connected world.

We seek 2D graphic artwork that embodies the essence of a regenerative metropolis — visuals that convey themes of renewal and healing, both for the environment and society. This can reflect the intersection of energy-efficient systems (such as Passive House), sustainable practices, and a holistic approach to urban life, exploring themes of ecological restoration, systems thinking, circular design, resilience, and interconnectedness.

The winning artwork will serve as the central visual for the symposium’s branding and promotions, appearing across all marketing materials. Your vision could shape how we think about the architecture of tomorrow—where nature, community, and technology thrive together.
